We Need Commitment
There are times when we want to do certain
things but never get round to doing them. Sometimes by chance, if we have to do
it, we find that we have done a good job of it and are highly pleased with
ourselves.
Until one is committed, there is hesitancy.
There is the chance to draw back and the result is ineffectiveness. Concerning
all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth, the
ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans. The moment one
commits to oneself, then Providence too, moves to help him. The whole stream of
events that follow from the decision assert in one’s favour. Goethe says:
Whatever you can do or dream you can; begin it. Boldness has genius, power and
magic is it.”
All of us have within us inner potential
and power to do almost anything. All we need is commitment. To manage others
successfully, we need to be able to manage ourselves first. We need to make
time for ourselves to go ahead of time and be prepared for any eventualities.
